Do you still have winch parts? I'm looking for a valve chest that goes on the back of the winch
I have a pilot valve for operating the winch. Don't have the rotary valve. The valve has a light coating of rust on the exposed part.
If that's what your interested in, I can send pictures.

Re: Oil on brake band and clutch disks

Thanks.
I'm going to try baking them around 300 degrees for a half hour or so...just have to wait for the wife to be gone to town for awhile.

If it doesn't work out I'll go the relining route.

Oil on brake band and clutch disks

I'm rebuilding a 3325 winch for use on my 2010. I just opened it up and found the clutches and brake oil soaked. On the old Series 20 winch, I had good luck heating things with a propane torch and soaking in denatured alcohol when the pressure plate would spew brake fluid all over everything. Does a...

Re: 2010 steer clutch assembly problem

Steel plate 1st is correct for serial #'s below 42001. 42001 and above, composition facing goes in first, against the brake drum, followed by alternating steel plates and composition disks.

3325 winch question

I'm working on a 3325. Pulled the left cover and found a mess. The brake band may be salvageable, but the clutches are toast. The drum won't turn. Had to press the driveshaft out the right side. It wouldn't slide out as the book said it should. Found all 6 cap screws that attach the brake drum to th...

3325 Winch gears & parts

The Series 20 winch (AKA - boat anchor) has the same gears as a 3325. I needed the drive shaft for the 3325 I just acquired. All the other gears and shafts are available from the Series 20. Some of the castings also fit the 3325. Best offer. Thanks. Update: Due to circumstances beyond my control, I ...

Never mind... I looked in their contacts page and, while it says they are based in the US, the location map was in Russian.

450 service manual

I finally found a 3325 winch for my 2010. The only place I can find a service manual for the winch is as a chapter in the 450 service manual. My question is: should I buy and download the JD TM1033_R2 manual from Deere for $66.86 plus tax, or should I buy and download the one from the YouFixThis web...

Re: How many others have had their crawlers for decades?

Bought my 2010 in May of 1975. In 2006 I found and purchased my Dad's 40c that he bought new in 1955 and sold in 1964.
