All of my rollers have grease fittings but one difference that can't be seen in the pics is the roller on the left has the set screw and jam nut that hold the roller bracket on. the one on the right doesn't. If this really matters?!

yes I recomend drilling. Your 308 stainless will get you the high nickel. On your preheat Heating out 2" from your weld will also relieve some of the stress you put on it. I like to post heat as well. The slower you let it cool the better.

308 stainless rods work good on cast and are cheaper than cast rods. Be sure to preheat.

Thanks fellas for the info thus far. I just started rebuilding a four roler 40c and it has two diferent rolers on it. Which is the correct one? Do you notice how the one on the left is thicker and heavier duty ?thanks
