Re: 440IC Wont run w/o choke 1/2 on
I have gone thru the carb completely and did put all the parts thru the ultrasonic cleaner. I do believe that I have it cleaned, but have missed things in the past so I may have to go back thru it. I do remember cleaning the long center tube. I have adjusted both the idle and load jets, the load jet...

I have sprayed carb cleaner all around the intake looking for a leak, none found, stayed running the same. I did go thru the distributor and found the advance stuck, Removed and ...

Carb Parts
Hi Lavoy, It has been a while since I posted on here. I am looking for a carb kit for the 440 Crawler. Wondering if the throttle shaft comes with the kit ? I know I need the kit and a throttle plate. Are there bushings for the throttle shaft? My throttle shaft seems very loose. Also is there a seal ...

Not sure if that was right or not. Let me know if it works. Lavoy I will be getting in touch with you on some parts soon. What is all included with the carb kit. I left the carb at work so I cannot remember what part was missing, I'm not sure it is either the choke plate or the throttle plate. CRS i...

Ok I think you guys have narrowed it down. I do have a Dip Stick on the top left side of the Tranny and my Throttle is on the left side of the dash, So I would think it is a 1959 ?? I do have a few photo's of it, I will have to read up on how to post them. I also think it has an automotive style muf...

440IC Serial Number
Lavoy, I purchased a 440IC the previous owner thought it was a 1962 model I have a John Deere Data Book that shows they quit building them March of 1960. The Serial # plate is missing. Do you know of any other way to identify this Crawler? It needs some TLC. It does have the 6 way hydralic blade on ...
