It will vary with brand, but roughly $1000 per side for new sealed interlock chains. Bolt set is about $150, pads if you need them will depend on style and width, but $1000 for the pads is a close guess. Lavoy[/quote. Yes, you are correct the dealer did say 350 chains. Are you saying both sides for...

Hey, thanks for the information. I need a set of chains for my Jd 1010, but if I buy them from John Deere they cost more than I paid for the dozer. I can buy the John Deere MC for a little more than 1 chain will cost.

450C 2 problems
Thank you both for your opinions. Yes, I think the machine may have been treated very ruff, because the owner said the cracks in the side panels were from rocking it with the bucket full of dirt. I wonder if this is a common problem with the 450. Maybe a weak place in the design. Has anyone heard of...

When I say tracks, this means the chains with bushing and pin and pads New cleats welded on the pads. They have 75% wear or more left on the bushing, pins and rails. Wha...

Will Jd 350 sprockets bolt to a JD 1010, or do they have to be welded? How much should I have to pay for a new set of 350 chains, and sprockets and where is the best place to buy them?

JD 1010 tracks
Thank everyone for all the information. The information has given me an idea. I have a good set of JD 450 tracks. What parts would I have to buy and what parts would I have to cut and weld to make the 450 tracks work on the JD 1010? Or is it even possable?

Thank you Janson Benesch. I had not thought of looking at these points I will surely look at them. My next appointment to look at it will be Wednesday or Thursday. I think by then I should have enough information to make a good decision about the 350 machine. So I would like people to feel free to s...
