final removal 1970 350 crawer

It was easy, the only thing i should have done was remove the final pan first. I had to use a comealong chaining it to the back the machine an let the jack off to get the pan off for cleaning an inspection. The pinion has a broke tooth. I got 1 0n order. It took longer to clean then to take apart. h...

1970 350 clutches an final

It's going very good and easy. I used the motor cycle jack striped the final down pulled stright out about 4 inches. Bearing was in backwards on final wrong bearing it was not even close to the race , the quil pinion bearing is right. Lots of oil an dirt . I have evey thing on order. I'll work on so...

Levoy. When I first seen my 350 with excellent wide tracks on, befor I would give him the 3 K he would have to cut evey pad inboard an out board both sides, Im glad that happened. It just didn't look right on that small machine.

Stan that is so true. I got my1970 350 apart yesterday. Just waiting for parts. I got the track adjuster off tore down , all the rollers , Idlers bearing are excelent Track adjuster is very good evey thing I seen made my day. I hope the inside the final makes another good day. Haveing the right tool...

Remley. I have worked in the coal mines on on big machines. The reason we used it the machines took 50 gals or more coolant, we never changed it an the treatment extended the life of the collant. The best thing you can do is change the coolant in your machine. I need to do the same.

Philztoy.I think with all the adjustment gone the track would be out to the end of the rail, Or your adjuster rod is broke, I would raise the front with the bucket , loosen the adjusting rod get all the track pulled back remove a pad link.I think the track was wrong to start with.

Dig it up, Good idea removeing water from oil. With Stright 350 it's even tougher getting water out of transmission there is no filter. just the drain plug and half inch filler plug.With my Hyd system it has 2 filters and was easy like I posted but when I hooked up the hoe it contaminted the system ...

Dozingdozer. Since the transmission is a different system should have no effect on reverser and hyd system. Your reverser oil is clean. I had trouble with my hyds and changed the oil it was perfect.
