The best parts manual is the one online at deere.com. You can look up by models and print off the pages you want. A parts manual is almost as good as a service manual for exploded views. My .02

Thanks guy's for the input. I'm not out in the woods, but working in a shed with no power, etc. I got the fan blade today, but we've had the nasty storms that are causing all the problems. So, hopefully tomorrow the weather will be better. If you take the lines off the hydraulic pump without drainin...

Thanks Ken. I do have the hood, grill shell off and the radiator pulled forward to get the fan blade off. I haven't really put the mojo on it yet. But what I am assuming, if I get it disengaged, I can slip a belt in between? I have seen those linked belts and they don't look that reliable. Plus I ha...

Fan Belt Replacement???

I ran something in through the side of the engine and it took out the fan blade and in the process the belt. Luckily not the radiator. I have referenced the service manual. It says you can disengage the hydraulic pump drive to replace the belt. Have I read this correctly? My first problem is that th...

I am fairly new to crawlers (couple of years), and I don't know if this really works or not. This was told to me by a man I was looking at his International 125 that needed an adjuster seal. He said an old IH mechanic told him this. So, judge for yourself. He said to clean out your grease gun and re...

I think this will sound odd to say. Maybe someone has an explanation for it. This machine will turn real well in reverse but not in forward. It turns better to the right than the left, and that is in either direction. I am going to remove the belly pan and give it a good bath before I remove the ste...

Thanks Lavoy. I thought I saw somewhere here that the "D" in the engine serial number meant built in Dubuqe? I think I spelled that right :? Having a CAV pump would mean otherwise. I have a 2155 AG tractor that has what looks like about the same pump.

I spoke to the man I bought the machine from today. He had the engine serial number plate that he forgot to give me. Can anyone tell me if the number can tell the year of the engine?
Engine #3152D161085.
He also said it was a 1974 with a serial #350AA127322. But that does not compute.

Thanks so much, those were exactly what I needed. I am wondering if the backhoe I have is the correct one for the crawler. The seat setup was probably the same, but the backhoe on mine has the footrests up high. They will be hitting you in the knees when sitting on the seat. Does not have the fold d...

Some more pictures. The CAV injection pump. I was surprised to see that the fuel return comes from the engine back to the fuel pump instead of the fuel tank. JD, thanks for the pictures of yours. I see where my chassis serial number plate is supposed to be. Mine is gone, just the rivet holes. Is the...

Thanks, Ken. The machine does have a tach and a seperate hour meter with, I think minutes, on it. I had never seen one like it before. The tach doesn't work, but is one of the things I would like to repair. The cage is heavy, (channel and angle) and I have a second piece that bolts on after you take...

Thanks, Ken. Yes, I would like to know what the original seat setup was. This deal is on square tubing,(the seat needs some help) you can pull up and reverse the seat, but it needs to be drilled to put a pin in to raise it up. The trans dipstick is visible in the picture with the shifter, it has a h...
