air in fuel system
I was hauling a hitch of logs back to the landing when the dozer started surging up and down rpm wise, I dropped the logs and shut down[it was still running]. Checked the fuel tank and could see some fuel but quite low, I added more fuel but have not been able to restart it. It will fire when I prim...

Rubber track pads.
I found a set of rubber pads to fit 1010 tracks. They are 10 inches long x 5 1/4 wide. What use would they be for and would they be used by themselves or bolted through a regular track pad?

Re: 1010 Starter
My 1010 Diesel has a slot in the frame to get to the bottom bolt and the filters need to be moved also Surprise :P What I took to be only a mounting bracket for the engine covers turned out to also cover an access hole in the frame that someone had conveniently cut. I still have to get to the batte...

Well I dropped the belly pan today  It seems like it is necessary to even see where the lower bolt is let alone unhook the battery cable and switch cable to get to the bolt plus I have hydro hoses running around all over underneath that get in the way. I stopped there because when I tried to st...

Looking at part numbers for the final drive housing and drive shafts between the 1010s and 350s, they appear to be different final drives. However it seems some parts, such as the bull gear, are the same between the 1010s and early 350s. thus it seems it is not entirely clear-cut. Lavoy, Jdemaris, ...

My understanding is that the 4 bolt triple bar pads for the loaders are interchangeable between a 1010, 2010, and straight 350 with the 4 bolt rails. I don't know about later 350s or 400 crawlers. My understanding is that final drives from a 350 will not interchange with earlier crawlers . I saw an...

Starter removal
I have had the starter off my gasser and was able to reach underneath to get to the lower mounting bolt. It lifted out from the top The starter on the diesel is longer and the fuel strainers are in the way. What is the trick to reach the lower bolt. Is it accessed from below with the belly pan off? ...
