Thanks for the advice, I quess I'll attempt an overhaul. I was hoping for a quick engine swap to take advantage of the drought we're in and clean out some ponds. Are there any other options? Are there any JD gas engines besides the 1010 engine that will work as replacement? My first posting! I have a 64 1010 crawler dozer (gas, 6way blade) with the engine plate - 1010W 52044. Is this a Wheeled tractor engine that someone installed?
