420c lister diesel conversion

i just finished machining my flywheel adapter and bellhousing for the TS3 lister. did a dry fit tonite and everything is center. going to poster some pictures if anyone is interested.

i scrounged up a petter ts3 3 cylinder air cooled pushing 34.5hp at 2500. measured everything up and flywheel mods should be straight forward. got to widen the flanges on my skid-plate for the fan housing tho. what do you guys think about 2500rpm? thats 75ft ibs torque too final drives should be abl...

well my throttle shaft broke across the butterfly , so i took a shaft out of an old 40 carb the only difference is the little lever on the end was on th wrong side. so i changed the lever around set my load and adjusted my idle but now i can keep her from backfiring and over reving? ever since i ran...

lavoy , would you happen to have a load needle for the updraft carb on the 2cyl? mine is cracked and looks like it was welded (like everything else on my crawler) i found a carb up here in labrador but the needle was robbed out of it. thanks

ran the 420 hot the other day (pin hole in rad) and by the time i shut her down i noticed alot of blow-by coming out the fill pipe. also had oil runnin out the distributor cap. maybe cooked head gasket? i aint getting compression in the rad tho.

my tracks need to be tightened up allittle i know my sprokets are worn and my chain pins needs rotating but my adjuster rods seem to be at the end of there adjustment? the thread is right at the end of the outer nut on the front side of my main idlers? think its time for new chains/sprockets/and idl...

yeah ive owned a bunch of continental 4 bangers that had two piece sheave like this but were spring loaded not screw type like this. i have the official 420 shop manual for my machine but it don't show a good description of the procedure. im a bit eliterit aswell haha
