Ken
Yes, the C models had the screen too. Matter of fact Deere still uses it in the 450-650Js that they make today!!

Hopefully this will clear up some of the serial number letters http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u315/JD350CLoader/350SN.jpg The E in your serial number means you have an inside (or as JD says an insdie) mounted bulldozer. The page is in the printed parts books, I cant find it anywhere on the JD pa...

Not to change gears but Im pretty sure all the 350Cs have an engine oil cooler, right below the engine oil filter. Not sure if you checked that yet or not but it might not hurt. All you need to do is submerge it in a bucket of water and apply a small ammount of air to the one coolant line while bloc...

Just an FYI the C Models use type 303 everywhere except the engine. Some had reverse gear in the transmission as an option. I think it was standard on the 350s and 350Bs.

It could be your steering clutches. On C models the clutches are oil applied and spring released. They use reverser oil pressure to keep them applied. Pulling back on your steering lever blocks that oil off. You may have a leaky piston or a supply tube. How does the machine push? If you have an air ...

We are trying a new 650J, it too has quality control issues. The relays that power the blade ECU fell out, then .The hydraulic pump has exploded twice. First time Deere said the releif valve wasnt set right. the second time he changed the entire control valve. then the oil cooler started leaking Luc...

I Looked at a 355D with a decelarator pedal, made it real nice to ease up to things. Im not sure how much work it would be to retrofit a machine without it

There should be a very small gap if it has the JD bushings installed, but like Jason says these get worn and make the gap larger over time, then it eggs out the cross-member and breaks the bolts. You can weld the bar to the frame, but you run the chance of breaking the bar. The OEM set up lets it wa...

is this a straight 350 or a B or C? the Bs and Cs have an inline filter in the supply fitting back at the tank, you have to separate the fuel lines and shut off valve to get to it. Im not sure it the straight 350 has one there or not

I think the difference in the 2 flywheels is due to the 2 different engines, early 350Cs had a 3152 engine and the latter had a 3164, flywheels should be inter-changable, but youll need the later wheel to use the newer isolator.

When you say "in gear" do you mean with the gearshift or the reverser? Does is still lug the engine when the transmission is in N? but the reverser in F or R?

The "B" after the C means its a diesel loader, "A" would be a gas loader. Theres a complete breakdown of the S/N in the parts book.
