You cant really get to the piston without pulling the final. You can check them, but youll need a pressure gauge

Ken Ive had a few DB2 Stanadynes rebuilt by an injection pump guy in Maryland. Some for work stuff and some for me. One was off my 350C and cost about 500. That was a complete rebuild with new delivery valve, metering valve, transfer pump ,shut off solenoid etc etc. If i remember right it was about 2...

Sounds like your left steering clutch piston is leaking. Did you notice if the transmission is making oil?

Ken I believe that the hydraulic pump on a 350 is up in the grill housing,in front of the radiator. Its driven off the front of the crankshaft pulley via a shaft. There is a big cast mount that the radiator mounts to that also mounts the pump. If you take youre grille screen and sand sheild out you c...

I dont think the 350s auxillary valves have a float (at least the one on my 350C doesnt have a float). The first place to start if youve checked the obvious stuff (oil level and linkage) is to put a pressure gauge on (be easiest to install out at the cylinders) Since you have no downpressure put the...

The late 350"A"s on up used a "Flanged bushing" so to speak, it lets the crossmember walk both directions a small ammount. All 16 bolts attaching the bar to the track frames have these bushings. I think the inner 4 bolts are bigger than the upper 8. You can still get them from Deere, or if you want ...

Ken
The cat filter is a pilot hydraulic oil filter for their smaller excavators, like a 312 a 318 or a 320. Ive got access to cats SIS so if someone wants to know if it fits their machine i can look it up if needed.

BTW the drill will work too as long as you can get the speed fast enough , you just need to loop the cooler lines.

It wont hurt the machine to a point where it is unusable, it will just wear the chain faster than normal

To me it sounds more like a control valve problem than a clutch pack problem, especially since you had a problem right after pushing the pedal in. Have you inspected the control valve yet? Especially the clutch pedal valve.

Looks like a nice machine. Those tracks look fairly new, but the side youre showing is on bakwards, when you get some spare time it would be a good idea to flip it around.

Ken If its anything like a 310 (which think it is) If you have access to a crane or another backhoe choke the cylinder as far up as you can with a strap with the boom as low as you can get it. Then remove the upper boom cylinder pin. Once you do this you retract the cylinder all the way and unhook t...
