Deere did make an LGP 350B,350C and 350D. Whether or not it has a reverse gear in the transmission wont tell you as to what it is, it could be a B or C, both could be had with or without it. What will tell you is if has wet clutch/brake (C) or dry (B)

The deere number subs to an SKF number of 38751. SKF aquired CR some time ago. Its a special seal in that its 2 rubber "toric" rings pushing two lapped metal surfaces together. Cat calls it a "duo-cone" seal. Dont know what name Deere coined. During installation cleanliness is the most important thi...

I agree completley about the beating the little dozers take, Digitup. Alot of it depends on the habbits of the operator. We run small Cat dozers now too. The G series that Cat has (D3-D5) use a rigid mounted undercarriage too. Weve had 2 track frames break up behind the idler (which Cat did warranty...

Please note that not everything in a sales brochure or a purchasing guide is 100% correct http://www.jdcrawlers.com/uploads/350B.jpg Note the "standard direction reverser" on a 350B  . Id really love to find some original order sheets from a dealer listing all the options and codes to put an o...

I think one of the things that hurt the 350s the most was that it was marketed as a cheap, bottom end crawler. So most of the outfits buying a cheap machine did cheap (or no) maintenance on them and did a half-hearted repair when the machine couldnt be operated any more. In regards to the reversers ...

Paul , your shift pattern is correct. 350s kept reverse through the C models. It was part of an option called a winch drive. Like Ken says if your crawler has it youll have a small lever near where the back of your left foot rests. It was always my understanding reverse gear was for use with a winch...

When i got my 350c its right brake was dragging real bad. Theres a cross shaft in the steering clutch housing thats part of the brake linkage, mine was rusted in the bushings on each side of the steering clutch housing. If the shaft sticks the brake will stay on and youll get a really loose feel to ...

I was refering to moving the upper hose down off of the thermostat to the block. There isnt alot of room in a 350, especially if its a loader. Pictures are better than words. Sorry about the clarity ,there a scan of the JD install manual that comes with the heater. http://www.jdcrawlers.com/uploads/...

Thats good to know if i ever run into a snag with mine. I rebuilt the older style isolator when i did my 350C. I wasnt 100% sure if the newer flywheel would fit my 3152, and my local dealer priced an old isolater with all the srings retainers etc at about 700 bucks, the new one was 950 plus 600 for ...

Just a thought, will a new flywheel that supposed to fit a 3164 fit the 3152 engine? Also, I thought they switched the isolaters while they were making the 350C(As the parts book lists 2 isolaters at a different s/n).

New triple grousers should provide plenty of traction in all but the slopiest situations. Id stay with triple grousers on a loader as they typically do more turning (i.e. loading a truck) than a blade dozer would.

Stan Thanks for putting up the info, I was curious if the 355D had its own s/n batch? Also i have a 350C with a 251xxx s/n (which is a 76' according to the chart) and it has a 3152 in it. Not sure when they switched to the 3164, but i have sales brochures from 75', 79' and 83' for the 350C and they ...

The guy in the blue hat is my brother :D He's the skid-steer guy so he can only sit back and watch while the real machines work :P . I think the 310 has about 1500 hours or so on it.
