Can anyone tell me where the coolant sensor is located on the engine block on my JD 555G. The coolant temp. alarm goes off at different times for a short period of time. I have the Technical manual for this model but for the life of me I can't find the sensor.
Thanks for your time

adj link v belt
Hey.
I know they are available, but where can I get an adj. link v belt for my 82 jd450c. The slip joint on the crank is beyond slipping, and I sure don"t want to take the pump loose.
I should appreciate this web site, always good info.
Thanks

What is the proper way to remove the front nose, can it be swiveled down or is it best to remove the assembly. Seems when I solve one problem two more appear.

Has anyone heard about using antifreeze conditioner in diesel engines with wet sleeves.I talked to some mechanics about using the conditioner. Some have never heard of using and others say to use it. I guess one way or another it can't hurt.
