Thanks to all you guys for your help and advice! I think I'm going give up on this 'need' of mine to press out the rear cross bar from the right track frame and take Lavoy's advice to move on. Greetings from Massachusetts, I'm in the final stages of a complete disassembly of my 440IC and have run into a roadblock that I'm not sure if I should just let go of and move on (that is start sandblasting and reassembling things..).
