well tried that and no luck. went and got a new controlled as it was leaking and will try that. i did take off a hose and had fluid but not at a great pressure. thanks for the advice. Will drain and change fluid as well.

control valve open or closed and pressure

Blade will shutter but not raise. I had a slow leak down on the blade already but it would not go up or down after use on 9/3. Could it be the control valve or is it another problem. Was working fine and was strong when this happened. I did note whenit happened and checking the hydro fluid tank was ...

Rebuild time or just gasket

Crawler 40 I noticed gas and water seeping out he bottom gasket engine seal as well as the head gasket on the motor. Best to rebuild now or just replace the gasket. Also Lavoy can you email me a price list of the gaskets and such I will need. clackey@catawbacountync.gov

Wanted to find a PTO for my 40

Need to know where to start looking for a PTO and a winch for my 1950s crawler. Any help appreciated. Also need a drawbar for it as it is missing. Thanks in advance

Thanks to all for the advice. I used a 5/8 wrench, pry bar, PB blaster and a prayer and it gave up the fight. Now going to put in 6 1/2 qts of gear oil and get to pushing some dirt.

40 c the filler cap is in the right foot rest area with a square bolt head. right behind the brake pedal.

Transmission filler bolt

Any ideas other than PB blaster on getting that bad boy loose. Is there a speacial tool, socket or prayer taht has to be sued or said?

It was about 2 quarts in each side. I stopped when it flowed out of the linkage holes. I will try all to see Thanks alot....

On the rear casing there are two bung hole caps. In my delusional world I put gear oil in them.... I think it is the steerign clutches

I messed up

This is my first crawler and on changing fluids Like a dummy put oil on the drive clutches. I drained them ASAP as i realized the mess up. What damage have I caused and DO i need to pull them and replace em. God what an idiot.... any help appreciated........
