My best guess would be P.B.T is Pin and Bushing Turned procedure. and S.A.L. Tracks could be Sealed All Links Tracks. I can think of other definitions but they might not be printable in a family oriented thread.

The Jimmy 2-53 oil filter is just a bypass filter not full flow. Someone may have removed yours after one of the lines to the filter broke.

Not sure what the intake hose is you are needing, but if it is like the one on my LP M670 Minne-Moline I am thinking of using a piece of exhaust tubing and a couple of flexable adapters like these. http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/Silicone-Couplers/c107/index.html?osCsid=6bmpv5r7o89ddm9vd6g72lj0l2...

I can only say WOW!! also. I would not have thought something with semi-grousers would have buried that deep.

Your idea on thet shaft repair is agood as any I could think of, would just comment that when you remove the brass, to make yourself a nice "V" to start the weld in. How close to the repair area do you need good threads? Can I bring one of my 440s up there and put it in line for if you run out of pr...

Auction with 440 Loader

On another site I read about an auction March 29. Down in the list of antique equipment they list a "nice original JD440 crawler loader". It is a little far away for me but I thought somebody might be interested.

I have found various figures on shipping weight for the crawler only to be 5800-6000 pounds. You have the 831 loader? I would bet it is at least 2000 pounds.

AFAIK the 435D is a green 440ID when you are looking at tractors not crawlers.
