ok, so its a 550, or a 555? I am assuming a 555a, because of looking at vintage sale brouchures on JD web site, the 555a was the first loader to have that trany. Its a "twindisc powershit", the tag looks origanal, 4 cast rivets on the left side of torque convertor housing. And glad to here they are ...

I took a tape measure to this machine, it measures 8'4" in height, 13' 2" in length, but only 5' 6" in width. If you looks at specs, height and length are close to a 555A, within an inch or so. But the width is narrower than a 450B. Im not sure, but maybe its a 555A frame, trans, and finals...possib...

555A trany parts
Hi everyone, I recently posted the missing ID tag, and trany ID problem. This is what I came up with. Someone called it a frankinloader....well, that about sums it up. Near as i can tell , the trans is the same that came equipped with the 555A model, so I am going to attempt the overhaul with the 55...

missing ID tag
Earlier I posted a trans ID problem....now I question the ID of the crawler. My loader has 450B stickers on it, so I assumed it was what it said. Now looking for trany parts im not sure, hopefully someone can help me out. There is no ID tag on the machine, only the two rivet holes where it once was....
