Thanks for the help guys, as far as the reverser, I pushed the clutch pedal in, pulled the lever back and slowly released the pedal and the machine tried to move but didn't, no noises or grinding. Is that the proper way to engage the reverser?

Recent purchase was a 1959 440 crawler (detroit power) with loader.
