There is another fix. We teed off a line from the engine oil pressure sending unit to the top of the power steering cannister. Are the allen screws dead in the center of the axle of the roller? Mine have a dimple but I've dug them out a few times and can't find in allen head. JD450 bottom rollers stuck
These rollers are sealed so they are not original equipment. I have a couple that are just stiff, but two I cannot turn by hand. Has anyone had any success drilling them for a grease zerk or heavy weight oil then seal the hole with a plug. Its a 1967 and I dont use it that much so saving about $500 ...

5 does slide along 4 forward as you say, but it slides alway past the end of 4 then the belt goes between the end of 4 and5. When you slide it back into position the teeth on 5 mesh with teeth on that disk you see behind the bushing. If it isnt moving far enough it is because the shaft is too dirty ...

you may be sliding it on the splined shaft but if it still doesn't open wide enough to get the belt through, the shaft may still be dirtly and not allowing it to slide all the way. And by the way, sometimes these couplers wear and are really out of alignment with the shaft so what you must do is tur...
