I had the 2010 running today again, this loud noise I am hearing is up front and part of the noise is the hood vibrating. I am suspecting that my water pump may be the culprit. Anybody ever had a water pump go? Do they get real noisy? This is a typical "old machine" every time I want to use it I hav...

A couple of questions

1) I have a 1964 2010 diesel. What is the little lever for under my left foot as I sit in the operators seat? 2) my generator light stays on all the time. The generator makes a loud buzzing noise and after the machine is warmed up the generator is too hot to touch, like 200+ degrees. Thanks in advan...

Mark Thats the coolest flatrack I have ever seen. Nice job on finding the wheels and the paint, the rack construction looks solid too! Thanks for restoring old stuff and not cutting it up for scrap! Al Z

Anybody collect sales literature?

I collect sales bulletins and literature from John Deere equipment and other manufacturers. I like old Chevy pickup brochures too. Those of you who have caught the literature collecting bug know what I'm talking about. I was looking through my collection the other day and I ran across this 2010 craw...

I removed the rubber piece on the back going down to the pump. I had the machine sitting on a slight hill nose upwards. The old drained out 99%, I got the rest out with some shop towels. Put the new oil in with new filters, very little mess, I had to pressure wash the weights on the back off, they h...

JT- I found the drain plug to dump the hydraulic oil from the loader. Man I hope I can get that plug out. There are some hydraulic hoses that run to the lift cylinder that are covering the plug. I will have to diconnect those hoses in order to try and get the plug out. Does the plug take an allen wr...

The hydraulic oil in the tank next to the seat is milky. Thanks for the info, I'll leave the tranny alone. I don't see a drain plug so I am assuming I will have to drain the hydraulic tank by taking a hose loose? It has an 820 loader, so this tank next to the seat is strictly loader op oil? The hydr...

2010 DIESEL changing hydraulic oil.

The hydraulic oil in my 2010 is milky. I want to change oil and filter. If I take the filter cover off (rh side underneath machine) will the entire system drain from that port? Also where do you pour the new hyd fluid in? I have a manual and it tells me capacities and service intervals but seems to ...

Some good tips here in getting your machine ready for winter. I am installing a tank heater on my 2010 so I may just drain and refill with new 50/50 antifreeze while I have hoses off and the drain plug out. I havent checked my hydraulic oil but I will after reading this about it getting milky. Would...

Bingles Very nice 2010, looks nice and straight. Where did you find that?
Tiger I have never seen pictures either, other than old sales
brochures. Is it a diesel or gas, does it run good? I really like
the 2010s. Al Z
