Mine weighs 6060 pounds, but that's with a 62 blade and a heck of a big limb riser cage on it. I hauled it one time on a double axle trailer rated at 7000# with no brakes and found out that wasn't very smart. Now have a trailer rated for 11000# but still pulled with a 1/2 ton pickup. I don't haul it...

I'll try to remember to shoot some pictures of the four spool set up next time I'm up at my cabin--which will be later this week or next. Don't know how to post pictures here but can email them to someone and they can post if they want to. I'm assuming it is a four spool since there's four control v...

1956 420
Grousers show no signs of being welded up. Can't swear that they are the ones that came from factory, since the dozer had several previous owners before I bought it. Engine had <than 100 hrs. since being rebuilt and pins and bushings had <10 hrs. since being replaced. Did have to put in new(used) dr...

1956 420 Before and After Pics
Old Miss. Forestry Commission dozer. Was JD Green under all the yellow paint, so I decided to go back to all green. Early '56, so no yellow on hood.

Don't know what crawler you have, but the one in my first series 420C was stripped when I bought it. I just bought used one on ebay--in fact I have bought three used ones. I'm pretty sure Lavoy will repair yours with new ends welded on if you have a 420C. Don't know about other models. You can check...

If you are talking about decals, try Jorde's Decals--507-288-5483 or emaildecals@jordedecals.com. I got complete set for my 420C from them and they are good.

Pretty sure that will make it a '56 serial # under 100000. Also forgot to mention that on these the starter is mounted with a cone pointed Allen screw with a lock nut on it. My 420 is old Miss. Forestery Comm. dozer and serial tag missing. I determined it is '56 by locating the location the serial p...
