Re: JD350B Brakes
Yes the rattle is normal. Aka the 350 rattle. That rattle is a combination of things but is manly the countershaft inside the reverser. The isolator will rattle on start up and then your counter shaft will continue until you raise the engine rpm. What is your track tension like? If your tracks are t...

Re: JD350B Brakes
You will only need common tools if you end up pulling the reverser. You will need a 3/4 inch drive socket set and a couple large wrenches. Everything else is common size stuff. My advice is to check everything else first before going to the trouble of pulling the reverser. I am a bit puzzled by your...

Re: Identify this crawler
I have to admit, now I believe it is a 350C. I did not see the reverser lever the first couple of times I watched this video. So then I thought it could be a 350B since it had the lever there on the battery box. I see the guy shifting the transmission into reverse and also how far he is pulling the ...

Re: Maybe a silly question ?
First of all your question is not silly. Ask what you need to know. I would rather you ask us rather than be sorry you didn't. Most likely your rollers are oil filled and don't need to be greased. A grease lubricated roller will have an obvious grease fitting on the outside end cap of the roller. Us...

Re: Identify this crawler
Yeah that's no 350 C. I agree with 77Ford. I think it is a straight 350 with someones homemade decals calling it a 350C.

Re: 350C - 3152D - Not starting
Lots of words in there for us humble hill folk!! :D That's okay though I would rather you tell us everything rather than not enough and we have to guess at what you are trying to say. So great job on the post. If your engine has good cranking speed and you have fuel going to the injector pump and yo...

Nope... 450 is much larger than the 350.

Re: 650G parking break wont release
I would think then you may have a valve bypassing or perhaps a linkage worn or something fairly simple then that is causing the issue. Fourteen thousand hours doesn't surprise me at all on a G series machine. As I said before they are just about bullet proof. We had several that ran well over ten th...

Re: 650G parking break wont release
Well it's been about a hundred years since I was last around one of the G series crawlers. However if memory serves there is a valve and some linkage that is part of the activation of the parking brake. I would have to refer to a tech manual which I do not have to be sure and if you don't have one t...

Re: Please help JD 400G Transmission problems
Run all of your adjustments exactly as the tech manual shows and then see what your machine is doing. Hopefully it is only way out of adjustment. If you do this and still have issues then it will have to be looked at deeper. Good Luck!!

Re: Please help JD 400G Transmission problems
It sounds to me like you have something bound up when you reassembled the machine. Check your linkages for the shifter to make sure you don't have them crossed. That will bind the shifting as it causes them to be backwards. If that isn't the problem then you can remove the top cover without pulling ...

Re: 450d noise? help!
Dude I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you may as well get your tools out and plan on going deep. You can't pull any of those shafts without having the transmission out to where you can get to everything. As far as the availability of some of your parts? That can be a crap shoot these days. De...
