Totally different.
You need one from the same model.
Even in the 440 model there is a split.

Lavoy has it right.
Fingers are not being released.
Clutch is free spinning.
Sounds like where I've been before with another machine.
Could still pull the trans cover and see if anything is turning....

How much free travel do you have on your clutch pedal?
Is this an early -100000 machine or late 100000?

Did you replace your pressure plate?
Sounds like it may be way out of adjustment.

Would be a good idea to check the gap from rockers to valves too.

Does she smoke while running?
Blue smoke?

If it missed a few oil changes the rings may be sticking in the pistons.
I have a product that will help with this.

Even with a good tarp or in the shed here in the north country these crankcases and gearcases get condensation which I drain off each spring. Most have about a cup of water in them. More if left out in the rain. Drained a Jd D last week. Had over 5 gallons of water in it. A good silicone cal...

My story was just because we were on the subject of fuel opportunities.
I've had a full tank and a cap that doesn't breathe. Won't run either. Also small piece of crud in the tank and no go.
I do enjoy figuring out what is going amiss.

Happy wrenching,

I had a similar situation with a neighbor who's carb I rebuilt. Phone rings and same story. My tractor just died. I chock it and it starts, then stalls. Runs good for a minute or so and quits! I am getting an earfull for how I messed up his carb. So I quietly drive over and meet him by his tractor. ...

I can tell you now the 6v when properly rebuilt works great for years! My 420 has a rebuilt starter and generator 22 years old and still starts like a dream!! I'm on my 4th battery. 2800 hrs. since I have owned it. Lights are fair to ok. Settings are dim and dimmer:) Good thing snow is white. Most i...

Check the screen in the carb. Yes the one where the fuel line goes to the carb. May people don't know about this one. I have had many come in loaded.

May need to adjust the throwout on that side as well.
Make sure you have the manual for your crawler to get specs and info ok how to do.
