Case 580C

The machine has a combination of pins that grease and bushing with zerts. However it has 4 pins that have no way to grease them. No hole thru the pins, no bushing zerts nothing. Is this normal or has someone switched the pins out? They look factory but I can't imagine having a non grease joint.

Re: Commercial zero turn mowers

I went with a bobcat, after my research has one of the best warranty in the industry (6 years). I purchased and had installed some synthetic oil, I forget the brand and it doubled the engine warranty. https://www.bobcatturf.com/products/zero-turn-riding/xrz-pro-rs/ It's built like a tank and has bee...

Re: 450c Stanadyne Injector Pump Seal and Bearing Replacement

I agree with out sourcing this, I'm a huge fan of "doing it myself" but at the end of the day the test equipment they run it thru makes it all worth while.

I had good success with these guys:

Re: Quick Couplings

They are miss matched brands I'm sure as the grapple came with it's own couplers. I can't see anything obvious at all. I guess I'll see if I can figure out what brand the grapple is and try and find the matching mate to it see if that helps. I don't really have any very many options at this point.

Quick Couplings

My skid steer has a set of quick connect couplings that I hook my grapple too. One of the pairs leaks but only when I'm closing the clamp tight, not when i'm opening it hard, which I find very odd. The grapple is new and the couplings on the machine are new, someone had removed them before I bought ...

Re: To paint or not to paint

To me it has to do with when the paint was applied. If it was painted last week I find that a turn off but if it was painted a year ago I assume that is a person who is into fixing up his stuff. Either way don't paint the hoses and wires that just looks horrible and I wouldn't buy something like tha...

Re: JD450 Hard Nose Removal

I have 2 pieces of 4" angle that I use for loader arm locks and one piece that I lay across the arms that I pull the nose with. I use a come a long hooked to a small chain thru the hole you check radiator fluid. If the loader is running, I pull the nose put it down and backup 10 feet and it's out of...

Re: Moved Into Our Tiny House

I've always been very fascinated saw mills, when I was very young my uncle had one. I keep an eye on Craiglist and one of these days I'm going to find a good deal on one. I don't really want it to cut wood productively like for money but just the fun of restoring and operating it so I'm holding out ...

Re: Moved Into Our Tiny House

That sounds like a great project to me, I really enjoy working with the old houses. I got into a project last summer helping a guy remove the last remaining knob and tube he had in his basement.......
