Re: Looking to buy a 350B
Loaders by nature are turning and loading so they have the shorter pads to put less stress on the steering/undercarriage. Imagine having 4,000 pounds of load in your bucket turning hard and having to slip those tall grousers across the ground. Having the tall pads (while some do it) is not really re...

Re: Looking to buy a 350B
I agree with Lavoy it's higher than I would pay for it now. It has all sorts of issues going on, things I see right off the bat: 1) It has dozer tracks on it or at least pads, either way this is not a good situation. 2) The fuel filters are off of it 3) The were working on the hydraulic spool valve ...

Sooo.... Stan you're saying you bat for both sides????
Clearly from your picture you an see the highlights on the late model are better protected = superior. I think you proved my point that late model >> early model.

If you know anyone with a Chinook they have an approximate lifting capacity of 10 tons, they could set it at your shop for you.

Late Model vs Early Model
I found a thread that was accidental posted in the wrong section and posted they should really make it in the early model section to get more views. An admin moved it over which is nice but it got me thinking.... We need more conflict in all of lives so we should really start a thread explaining why...

Re: Dumped my hydraulic fluid, am I damaging my pump?
I would not move it without disengaging that pump up front, those gears have very tight tolerance and no lubrication would kill them fairly fast. Just my opinion.

Re: The Kendall Diaries - Motor Oil
I used to have some old timers tell me oil never broke down and they would change their filters every two months and replace the missing quart. This read kinda supports that but I assume at some point even with alot of filter changes the oil is going to become to dirty to function right.

Re: Oil and HLR filters
My opinion it is much like oil, filters you buy today are much better than they were 40 years ago. I think any quality filter will do and I typically run Baldwin or Wix.

Re: Rotary swing leaking?
It's basically an adjustable spanner tool to get to grab the pin holes on the gland. Then you put a 3/4" breaker bar in it to break them loose.

Re: Belly Pan removal
The "stuff" that accumulates on my belly pan is like gasoline I've almost burned my loader down twice welding on it. I personally wouldn't go near that pan with a torch. I've reached up inside and held the nut and impacted the bolt out several times it can be done.

Mine was 2pc and split about half way back on the loader. That is where I made my connection.
