Opinions
I'm looking for some opinions on my old 450c loader. It's always been hard to start and it's hard to say for sure but it might be getting a little worse. I've also found as I use it more and more I'm getting more comfortable and working it harder. I've notice the engine bog down quite bit and I've e...

It's been awhile but I remember there being 5 drain points. The transmission itself which is a huge bolt with over an inch head. Two drains for the clutches, mine took hex wrench and were located in flat spot of the clutch/transmission housing. Two drains in the finial drives (don't forget these!) O...

I have to agree with a couple others here, the gap between those shoes is really large. For that kind of money I think you could find something better maybe even a fairly large distance away and pay to have it shipped in. I know it took me 6 months to find my little 450c loader. I think patience rea...

The guys at Kansas Tractor Parts found me one for my 450c last year, found 2 actually. I thought it was a pretty fair price at 700 and it came with the factory mounts to install it. I spoke with a Jarrett but I don't know if he's still there or not. Their number is 800-843-5699 and they are out of G...

Self Leveler
My self leveler on my 450c was broken the day I got it. The tube the rod slid thru was broken and just moved back and forth with the bent push rod. However the loader control arm would lock over like it was trying to hold in waiting from a signal from the switch that never came. Fast forward to yest...

There is a bunch of adjustment left to take out slack, so the tracks being loose is not a big deal. I'd guess in the 50 to 65% range but it's not terrible at all. The counterweight is there but something looks funny, the draw bar hitch is made into the counterweight just like my 450c. It slides up u...

On a similar note, what is the most preferred way of oiling the front and top idlers on like a 450c? The manual says to rotate the check hole to 1 oclock if I remember right then to try and remove the center push some oil and and shove the center back in before it all leaks out. I'm not sure what yo...
