Re: 450B problem

There should be a small amount of adjustment in the pump itself. I would leave the pin and rotate the pump to TDC. If it's off more than that, I'm not sure what to say. I just pushed the zip tie off the seal and when it was loose out of the way clipped it. I had one that was about 3/8" wide that wor...

Re: 450B problem

I used a zip tie to compress the first seal and get it good and started and then like above just very carefully wiggled and jiggled it on.

Re: JD 350B boom locking bar

I have 2 pieces of 3" angle that I cut to fit, they lay on top of the exposed rod and get smashed between the top gland of the cylinder and the end. I use two but one really works. Mine's a 450c so I'm not sure my measurement would be the same. I would run the machine to top of stroke, subtract an i...

Re: 450C fluid changes

In the side of the transmission is a screen, you have to drain all the fluid in the transmission to service it. Yes, it needs to be done. On the back of the loader are you talking about the PTO cover? Some machines had PTO but all machines I think have the cover. Finial drives drain out the bottom a...

Re: Just an Update

Glad to hear life is getting back to normal for you. They just won't let the plandemic die here, our rates are so low it's laughable but they just keep trying to shut more down and pass more restrictions. It's beyond insane....

Re: Oil leak 450C

I think sometimes when you have to shut them down to change between 1 - 4 it's a main engine clutch issue, it's not disengaging all the way.

Re: Looking to buy a 350B

Loaders by nature are turning and loading so they have the shorter pads to put less stress on the steering/undercarriage. Imagine having 4,000 pounds of load in your bucket turning hard and having to slip those tall grousers across the ground. Having the tall pads (while some do it) is not really re...

Re: Looking to buy a 350B

I agree with Lavoy it's higher than I would pay for it now. It has all sorts of issues going on, things I see right off the bat: 1) It has dozer tracks on it or at least pads, either way this is not a good situation. 2) The fuel filters are off of it 3) The were working on the hydraulic spool valve ...

Clearly from your picture you an see the highlights on the late model are better protected = superior. I think you proved my point that late model >> early model.

If you know anyone with a Chinook they have an approximate lifting capacity of 10 tons, they could set it at your shop for you.

Late Model vs Early Model

I found a thread that was accidental posted in the wrong section and posted they should really make it in the early model section to get more views. An admin moved it over which is nice but it got me thinking.... We need more conflict in all of lives so we should really start a thread explaining why...
