So i drove down took a bunch of pictures and a video or two. Now to see what you guys think. Theres a few things that concern me. The left clutch doesnt stop as well as the right. Buying a tractor
So im making the 7 hour drive to Ridgeway illinois this saturday to look at a 420 crawler with a 62 blade. Is there any gurus in the area who would want to take a look at it with me?

Model 62 blade
So im looking at a john deere 420 with a model 62 six way adjustable blade. Its hydraulic only on the up and down. Would it be really hard to make the pitch hydraulic on it??

Direction Reverser operation
On a late 420 crawler with the late style direction reverser, lever on the left side of the hood. On this crawler do you still need to hit the clutch when you switch directions or can you just throw the lever and head the other direction?

So i may have found a pretty sharp looking late 420 which is located in illinois. Its a late model with a mechanical 6 way adjustable blade, and direction reverser. I was figuring a later 420 would be better my reason for the 420 in particular is I have a 420w I did a ground up restoration of and a 420tlp waiting for one... it would fit the collection nicely.
