Thanks will try turn diode. So if other wire does;nt go back to the switch where on the starter should i connect it?

350 alternater replacement trouble

Have read recent post on this subject but still confused. Just replaced mine on 1966 350 & charged for a short time but now won't charge. Have a 2 wire diode hooked one to alternater other to wire that leads back to the switch. any ideas what is wrong?

i have a 1966 350 & also just replaced alt auto store changed the pulley & sold me a diode that plugs in to alt & has 2 leads one red that i hooked to terminal on alt & black that i hooked to wire that goes back to my ign switch charged for a minute now quit any ideas?

Logging with my 350

Finally found time to go after sum wood. Wish i had sum pics those little crawlers amaze me in the woods. But really wish i could find a winch for the pto. If anyone comes across one for sale could u post it please.

1966 350 winch w/log arch

I am looking for winch & log arch to fit 1966 straight 350. For now am dragging logs w/ loader maybe not so good for crawler. Was wandering if anyone out there has installed a custome made winch & arch. Hydralic or electric. Any advise appreciated. Thanks

Yea that makes sense. Was sure that it was clean & seated but will remove to check. Spose the sprocket itself could also be built a little off. Thanks for the response

Drive sprocket clearance

I just replaced sprockets with an aftermarket sprocket and right side hits roller every half turn. will this just wear in or should I be concerned.

Thanks for advice. Found after market sprockets for 240 each. only use crawler in woods to put up yearly wood around 8 cord. Doesn't look like much has ever been done to track. when I purchased machine rollers on one side were flat cause previos owner just kept using crawler with them locked up. Rep...

Just wonderingf if anyone out there has built up there drive sprockets with weld. Got 1966 350 straight & was told this was possible. 2 questions- Is this possible? hydraulic winch on 350

Was wandering if anyone has mounted a hydraulic winch on there 350. Currios to know how it works. Does the auxillary hydraulics have enuff fluid to run & not get hot? Seems impossible to find the pto winch. Thanks

issue with drive on 350

I'm having issue with drive on my 1966 350. At times it won't move but if I pull back steering arms & drop then will grab & spin tracks. Starting to happen more often so need to figure out problem. Carpenter not a mechanic so any help diagnosing would be great
