350 reverser

Last winter with foroms help I replaced seal in reverser. Now after one seasons use I seem to have another reverser issue. Seems to work ok until it gets warm then does not want to move machine. If I use manual tranny to backup then moves machine. Thinking it must be a pressure problem but not sure....

Engine serial numbers

My 350 crawler has no serial number on it but now that I have pulled engine out I found the serial number for engine. Is there any way to identify my crawler with the engine serial number? Numbers are
type M-41TE serial number 040879T

Yes ken all that is bad are reciever splines. Two questions . Would there be a chance of finding just the splined part? Pulled engine very little push pull on input shaft. Part on flywheel that recieves shaft with 5 springs holding it on is bad. What is this called and would you have a part number.[/img]

I am new to operating a 350 straight. Are you saying when working machine hard while backing up i.e. dragging big trees that one should not use reverser but instead actually engege tranny in reverse?

Further investigation shows the oil coming from drain hole at the front of the reverser. My question is what do I need to order for parts or maybe I should wait until I have engine out to order. Be nice to have parts so I don't tie up shop. The knowledge on this site is invaluable. Learning as I go ...

Thanks for all the help. Crawled it in shop today and soon as I find service manual will begin. Yes I do have a couple mechanical buddys willing to help. Yes I believe this drain hole is where my oil is driping. Iwill get a manual but need to figure out exactly what I have. When I purchased it was told 1968-1970 350 straight. That fill tube is the only fill point on entire machine if that helps. The only decals are on side of hydralic tank & battery ...

got my skidpan off what i found was oil coming from a quarter inch round hole in housing guessing this hole is there to send oil leak out but not sure any help on my next step greatly appreciated got it out of woods and in shop but not sure where to start have been told may be seal on input shaft? n...
