No power to the left track

I was out working my 440icd crawler and noticed that I was losing power to the left track, right side still good. By the time I made it back to the house it lost all power. I will be tearing it down. Anyone have any thoughts to what happened ?

Taking the sag out of the track.

I through a track on my 440, I had to separate the track to put it back on. My question is, do I take all the sag out of the track or leave some? Should I take the sag out ever time I use it, or is it okay to have a little sag. I don't want to through a track again as I'm work deep in the woods. Any...

pressure plate

Just removed left side of 440 icd steering clutch's.The throw out bearing has play from side to side and noticed that the fingers on pressure plate are compressed. (Shouldn't the fingers be up, out or not under a load?) Not sure on the mechanic, assuming when the trow out bearing comes in contact it...

steering clutches

440icd. Left side not steering. Remove left and right inspection plate and compared. All seems to be the same except the brake. When the left handle is pulled back I could see that it wasn't working, so I adjusted and know when I pull back the engine dies down and no left movement. Any ideas..

steering clutches

Just purchased a 440 icd serial # 459727, not sure of the year. This is my first crawler. The previous owner changed the steering clutches on right and left side. Only the right side works. Before I go tearing into it, is there any kind of adjustment that can be done? If I have to tear into it, what...
