Mine does have the "HLR" gear selector. Does that help identify my machine model?

I am having the same problem. I don't truly know what machine I have. My hour meter is opposite of what you described. It is toward the front of machine. You would hit it with your left toes if you kicked forward while sitting on machine.

thanks for the pics. I definitely don't have a dip stick like that. And if it is suppose to be like that then mine is missing. my transmission dip is also under the seat and not exposed to the foot floor plate area. Is your machine a 350 or 450.

Well I guess I'm not that lucky. I found two rubber plugs approx 2.5" in dia and one hole approx 1/2" dia. No dip stick. Maybe I am missing mine. I removed the floor plates and checked all over. The hole is deep and I figure it is the dip hole so can anyone measure their dipstick from top of plug to...

450 reverser oil

hello can anyone tell me how to check reverser oil level? Is there a dipstick or plug? Filler hole? I lost a line to the reverser and finally managed to replace it and boy what a job it was. So now pretty sure it must be low or empty. Help!!!!!!!!!

bucket teeth

I need both the bucket adapter and teeth for a mid 70's 450 crawler loader. Still not sure what model I have just that it is a 450. Is there a common adapter and tooth used on these or are they very specific. Any help would be great.

Do you know where I can get such manuals. I do have a 350 manual but like I said it doesn`t identify the filler. I guess they assume its too basic to mention.

70's 450 engine oil change

hello, this is going to sound silly and please don`t make too much fun of me but where is the engine oil filler neck/hole. I do see a removeable cap that is very near the oil dipstick and was wondering if that is it. Doing some reading on the forum I've found posts about the other oils required (dra...

To answer your first question, I was able to lift the bucket and arms with a farm jack and the simple car jack (hydraulic) works too. It will take some time because you will have to support it as you go and then let it down and re-set the jack or lift and then repeat but it can be done as I have don...

Yes I have the two batteries in parallel but wouldn't dream of starting the machine in winter. Figured it spins to slow to start although I never tried it. Do you have the proper part # for the starter I should be looking for or stay with the one you gave me earlier or are they one in the same? Have...

thanks tjdub, unfortunately I smashed the solonoid end cap while trying the tap trick so I have no choice but to replace it. But the starter does spin alittle slow. If I understand this correctly - this is how the original starters work and that the newer ones are so much better. Iether way will be ...

Thanks jdmaris for the info. I am kinda debating if I should take this opportunity to purchase a new gear reduction starter instead of replacing just the solonoid. Not too bad for 110 bucks. I checked that web site you listed These new starters apparently spin faster then the current model I have on...
