I forgot to mention
I did try putting shims it did not change
Pressure at all. I pulled the motor to look at
The pump might as well pull the hlr clutches too

yea i the steering clutches are not spining and the engine is not loading up it is I almost thought that engine clutch was slipping. I pulled the motor out the engine clutch looks to be good not been slipping. A little back story when I bought this dozer in a non opertating condition. steering clutc...

checking the steering clutches was the first thing i did. Is a hundred psi enough to hold the hlr clutches.
I sent the parts list to rebuild the pump and the hlr clutches to be priced out it came back about $2500 that was from mother deer.

Well I got the steering clutches changed and the one bad final drive changed out. Got her all back to gather, cranked her up tracked it back and forth a few times. Then I pulled a steering leaver dozer stopped. Dozer would not steer left or right if you put any kind of load i.e.; breaks or blade it ...

thanks for the reply tiger haze. I just got done changing the steering cluches and one finel drive. had to go back off shore will have to wait a week to to finish up

I got a service manual today when i get home. it will be tear down the steering clutches. and find a right rear finel drive some body let it (the finel) fill with water and it cracked.

when looking at that list on the message would you look for sn 021588 or 21588 i dont see any of the other sn's that start with 0 so i assume i would look at 21588

What is the main differences between JD 450 and 450 B's ?
The mother Deere have an over lap building them as in did they produce 450's and 450B's at the same time.

Also if any body could help me de-code my SN 15F3M021588T. my sn plate was pretty torn up not realy sure about the first #
