That is exactly what my father said.

Nothing in writing from the wife, I am sure she will deny it if it comes up in future conversations however it brought me a little satisfaction for the moment.

MC to the rescue

Got stuck mowing Hay the other day with a 2wd 50hp diesel tractor, brought over another 4wd tractor and got the 2wd out but when I hooked on the 4wd got that stuck too, even hooked together couldn't get the mower out. Hauled up my MC and hooked on to the back of the mower, left the 4wd on the front ...

My MC is Going

Got the old girl going finally. New carb, tracks back together, all fluids changed, new plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap and button. Full brush guard installed. Only thing left is its been converted to 12v but the guy never put an alternator on it, just charged it I guess. Runs beautiful but no ...

Got the old girl tinkered up enough to work her a little today, clutch let loose within minutes. Runs like a top, moved some snowbanks back, all is well. Still don't know what I want to do with it, gonna try my forestry winch on back and see how that works. Got about a month left to play, once maple...

Sorry, been busy lately, got her running like a top. Got the tracks back together, right steering clutch stuck, goes real good but only turns left. Haven't had 5 minutes to play with it at all. My first time with a crawler but I have had tractor clutches freeze and if you work them a little they wil...

Also remember if you have straight grousers and get sideways on the slope you are now on 30 ice skates, there is only 1 way to learn this. I think the bolt method is quick, easy and relatively cheap, in my experience the bolts will succumb to a smoke wrench eventually anyways.

Did you ever find track shoes? I just got a MC and it is supposed to come with 3 complete sets of tracks, once I get the other sets (they are in a barn 80 miles away) I am going to assess what I need and may sell some. Let me know if you are still looking, not sure about shipping though.

Previous owner has passed away, his son didn't even know there was a difference. I just picked it up this weekend, for basically scrap price. I will bring it into the shop in a couple of weeks and see what I got. Fluids look good, turns over easy, has very weak spark, float is stuck in carb, was jus...

Won't seam to fire

1950 MC, can't get it to fire, new points and condenser, weak spark to plugs. There was no battery in it when I got it so I put my 6v battery in it. What happens if it has been converted to 12v. No writing on the coil, what else should I be looking for? I really don't have much time in it yet, but I...

Aquired a MC crawlwer

New here, I just aquired my first crawler. I have several tractors from 1941 to 2005 but this is my first crawler. Friend of a friend gave it to me to haul off, supposedly runs and works although one roller needs to be replaced, and a few chain links and pads need replacement. It has either 3 or 4 s...
