So i have a 440 ICD that's going to either need new 350 tracks and sprockets, or new pins, bushings and a place to get them pressed in.. my sprockets are currently good, but someone welded both sides of the pins in and there is probably 6" of snake in track when one end is pushed with loader on grou...

Lavoy there are plenty of splines left, a little more than 2" on each side Took old broke shaft to machine shop. Said they would bore hole. make a new pin and either weld or press in for $25-50...the splines on that shaft will reach the good area in the hub(just like the other side). So, will just g...

Thanks Lavoy, Jim, and 440 Iron Popper. Really appreciate it. I've got the early bolt on ring gear model. Anyone got any ring gear hubs? will ring gear hubs from a 1010 or other tractor work? How hard are they to get out? If I shorten the new shaft 1 3/4" I'm going to have to find a longer spring fo...

on the 4" splined shafts... it looks like someone welded around the shaft (built it up) and then turned on a lathe and cut new splines . if I can get the ring gear hub, I would fix the broken shaft and should be a permanent fix... seeing as how youd havea4"spline meshing with a 4"spline... Wonder wh...

Rebuilt final drives
Well, let me start by saying, if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.... Rebuilt both final drives with parts from Lavoy "many thanks". When assembling the clutch pac I noticed the end of the splined shaft where the bearing goes was broken off. I bought one off of Howard Yoder and instal...

Cheap winch alternative. Harbor freight has a 12,000 lb winch on sale for $299?? I'm using an older HF 8000 lb winch on mine. Already bought the 2" square reciever channel from HF to weld on top of the rear bar. Will hook up a deep cycle marine battery and run a line from the alternator to keep it c...

UNderstand this is an old post, but personally dont take master links out period. Just take the whole track off. I have one hydraulic tensioner and one screwtype tensioner. on the screw type I just use an old fashion chain wrench from harbor freight, a wire brush and a can of PK Blaster. They also w...
