Wow, that's bright!

I have the same machine, with the same features, with almost exactly the same number of hours -- but with the original paint.
I think I need to stumble over a couple big jugs of yellow!

I too would like to find an 'improved' grease gun tip for Zerk that holds it's pressure, doesn't slip off, and if a locking type fitment - has a quick-release. Going with button type all over the machine would be good. In most cases it would work - inside U-Joints would be a problem, but on my 350B ...

Richard

The cheapest grease gun might move them today, but will it still be functional next week or next month or next year..?

What brand of grease guns (manual and electric) are you fellows running?

Leonard thanks for the thoughtful advice on connections and cables.
I may just make up a new set of heavy gauge full-run battery cables, with ground cable landing directly on the engine.

Best grease gun?

I've gone through many grease guns.
Anyone here know of very good examples suitable for a JD350?
Track adjusters especially will sort the good from the bad.
Thanks in advance.

350B Voltage/Batteries

This 350B had sat for years - possibly 10 or more, and was found with no batteries in the battery box. I'd gone through a pre-flight prep, then with a very large and brand new 12v tractor battery went to fire it. No success, it looked like a bad solenoid. Replaced the solenoid and got the same resul...

Slope board for 350b?

I've never seen a slope board for a 350B, does anyone here have such a setup, and if so may I see photos please?

Thanks

Did you take any photos of the process during your final drive R&R?
I have steering issues on a '73 350b that I need to address very soon.
I'll also be replacing a track adjuster, need to get it out and run it in the next couple weeks and diagnose which final drive needs to come off.

Thanks

Tom-

If you don't find the pads, consider having a local fabrication shop knock them out of AR50 (abrasion resistant steel) plate.
I'm pretty sure they won't cost much to have the pads burned or waterjet cut out of plate and the traction bars welded in place to match your existing pads.

I'll be watching too. My 1973 350B(E) is also having the 'not steering left' issue. If it ends up bening a clutch issue with the right clutch, I'll take notes on your project here. I also have to service the right track chain adjuster, so everything on the right side of the machine is easier for me ...
