Heated the bolster like you advised, worked well. I have one old broken bolt
that was broken off years ago. I drilled a small hole into and through it, will mig a nut on later this week. Got PB Blaster working the threads. from the inside out.

Thanks for the reply. Direct heat onto bolt heads or to cast bolster?

New to me '56 420c R&R and Grill Guard Removal

Hello, I've been a long time follower of this site, finally came across a '56 420c that was in my price range, that I picked up and just began to work on. The engine runs, I'm working the bugs out, carb rebuild, new points, condensor, wires, fluid change, got to clean out the gas tank, fuel strainer...
