Have been changing just wipers and rod packing for years with no bad issues saves money too, have two angle cylinders to do real soon on my 350 $30.00 in parts for each.

I believe that lever was intended for cold weather starting not for belt changes
their is not enough clearance it disengages the hydraulic pump from the engine

I think Naphtha will work or MEK soak them in it

check out machinery trader or tractor parts.com have had good luck with both found one for a 350 &450 that i have as far as recromeing most shops will weld a new rod on your end.

Just did same job on a 350 mine is back together and doing a paint job took all of the back end apart if you leave reverser in you need remove mounting bolts to raise reverser so trans clears the cross tube no issues in trans hadto replace broken studs and bolts.

gasket is most likely holding it use a tapered wedge or screw driver to break it loose.

might try a looking for just the rod i got one for a lift cylinder pretty reasonable look at machinery trader .

anyone know the part number of a JD engine barring tool can not find it in my manuals I have three 350 450C 302

any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks like 60 something cause reverser lever is on dash mine is 66

trans re installed steering clutch housings and final drives on , decided to go through blade pins and bushing . anyone know of after market parts for 350's have bought pins and bushing for my 450C through Broken tractor but they do not handle 350 parts.

It was necessary to remove the transmission from my straight 350 as not much was holding it in place.bought steering clutch kits from reliable after market parts here in Michigan nice kits.the question I have is their any one on this forum who knows if after market brake drums or over size linings a...

I used Broken Tractor for pins and bushings for a 450C better price than JD

could be worn linkage not engaging, pins and clevis can wear quite a bit, disconnect and manually engage
