Hi Don't know if you have an exchange but www.forestryconstruction.com list a rebuilt Gearmatic control on their website. under Inventory/Miscellaneous. Item SKU002 Gearmatic Master Control Rebuilt Exchange. Hope this is of some help.

I had the same problem as you and found a rebuilt dist. at Restoration Supply Tractor Parts at www.tractorpart.com. I purchased one from them and it was completely rebuilt with bushings, points, cond., cap. Good service and good product. They also buy rebuild cores. Hope this helps.
