I know listing price doesn't mean much, but on machinery trader and craigslist I cannot find a running digging 690b for less than $10,000. Actually most are listed upwards of $15,000. I am trying to buy this machine and use it for 6 months or so and sell. So I need to buy it below value so I don't l...

John deere 690b value and part availability?

A friend of mine is looking to sell his Deere 690b and I am considering it. I don't need a machine this large..but I am guessing he will give me a good price. I am going to be digging a 30x42 foundation and moving quite a bit of material around my yard as well as digging out many 24" pine stumps. I ...

Thats what I do with my old simplicity mower. Bungee cord on the throttle.

Well I talked to my uncle tonight and it turns out the case 450 that the backhoe was on is an open center valve set up like my JD2010.

He has to have the two lines that feed the backhoe hooked together if the hoe is not on there.

jtrichard....makes sense thanks. Also anyone know how far out the hoe mounts on a 2010 stick out? I have learned that the mount on mine is for a ripper and does not stick out as far as the ones for the hoe. Since I will be combining/fabricating the mount from the case and JD one....so I can make is ...

Tigerhaze : Thanks so much for the help!!! I am 100% clear on how my HYD. system on the 2010 works and how i need to hook up the hoe. The only thing I cannot seem to figure out is how to tell if the hoe is open or closed center valve. I totally understand the difference, but telling the difference b...

So if the loader has what appears to be a continuous loop like the 2010 I should be good to go? What would be some tell tale signs of a closed center valve.

Also how to I search the archives?

It was custom made by the previous owner. Almost identical to a Deere bracket but with the mounting dimensions for the case hoe. I took it off of my 350b and installed a winch and arch on it for logging. Since then I have bought a 350c with a ripper but unfortunately, I cant use the two attachments...
