Well Folks...she is back up and running!! Guess she wanted some loving! Just did not want to co-operate..so I went thru pulling spark plugs, squirt shot of oil in each cylinder, put-em back in, even demounted hydraulic pump and turned engine over without plugs, reinstalled, shot a bit of carb cleane...

Not one that i like.. Still wont start .... Since i re=hosed the blown one...i think i may have hooked up my ground ass backwards...negative ground ...and put my 12 volt jump box on it....suspect i may have fried my ..voltage regulator...however...i do get spark at the plug and with proper ground et...

Hank, Am not sure if you did get this figured out...in order for your dozer to turn...the steering brakes must stop the track on the side that you want to turn to...which means the clutch must disengage just before the brakes apply to stop that track..if clutches or brakes are slipping you cannot tu...

Well HANK, 1st thing...lets get your profile updated to show a location...someone may be nearby to looksee. From what i am seeing....your said you replaced the ..CLUTCH..as it stands....if this is one of the older models..420 etc...you will actually find 3 clutches in them...engine clutch....and bot...

Here we go again...Now my starter pooped out....wow..i had the thing gone thru at the auto electric shop...completely.. and blew the fuse and pooped out..So will try to see if shop can take a peek...course the old shop also died and went out of business as well...got hydraulics in and went to start ...

well...hoses got...$200 bucks..had swivels added to butt end..much easier..heavy dude...now it seems it blew dang near all reservoir fluid out..so there goes another $50-$60 bucks...only took a few seconds to empty that booger..hopefully no other damage

Bestchoice in using 6 volt starter on `12 volt system...electric motor shop can convert the 6 volt starter to 12 volt....this saves the nose cone from shattering...which does NOT always happen...but when it does...those are hard to come by...my 6 volt system on wheeled jd40s starts winter and summer...
