Well TechGuy came and peeked at her/.///used his borescope in bell housing.....and finds...camshaft plug partway out and leaking oil....so pull apart again this Saturday..and pull flywheel to get to it...sure hope things go well...will see..stuff happens

OK Guys, Here we go...engine starts. runs, oil pressure in safe (green) zone...temp. gauge appears to work...have to put 12 volt jump box on to start.. hydraulics work...but couple leaks..1 no pressure return hose to reservoir needs replaced..bad and leaking...now the major issue...will have to see ...

Stan, Had to put a new voltage regulator in...cannot recall now if even had the old one or it was beyond help when they broke original dash console..but dang metal box we lookin for was still there....however i am tending to believe is some sort of resister etc being on that mainline..and console fu...

Stan,, that fat line is the one with the open top metal box with plastic like stuff poured into it with one end from starter and other to ign switch..and it did have a broken fuse holder in the dash panel twist cap type..which i replaced...so wonder if i even need the other open box thingy..since NO...

Nope Stan..it is still 6volt and came with the blamed thing in line..so what would it be and do i need it?? sure dont want it screwing something up if aint in line like original. i cannot remember for sure but it seems to me that the 6 volt,,machines,, did have a resister? fuse and holder is in dash...

Hey GUYS, Got my engine back..am looking at my old harness...on the ignition switch the heavy red wire going to the starter post has a rectangular open box with some type of plastic poured into it...think may be resistor of some sort?? what is it and do i need in this? it was anchored to the console...

on my 420 the sleeve itself ...front half of splines just gone....shaft is fine..bad connector sleeve??? and no disconnect on this..have to take her apart to see issue//

JimmyDiesel, On my 440 i often had to adjust both steering clutches...several times..drive it a bit...adjust ....drive it a bit more etc.....all the parts are worn and probably rusted and need to be worked to get back where they need to be to work smoothly..it will come.. Had all new clutches on 1 s...

Austin96, The coupler i suspect is the splined one from the pump; etc...mine to needed replaced...i thinkLavoy well may have one, but i did get mine online..just measure yours to match...inside diameter etc....my splines were sheared off on 1 end..so no good..dont recall cost but not much.am still w...

He may have a new radiator if 420 radiator fits with 440..as well
