Re: jd440 ic hydraulic pump/hyd cylinder

It seems to have done the trick....tis a bit slower than i really like but may haps the next fluid change will get the aw32 and do better. I drove front end up on 6x6 and lowered blade to help get fluid into downside.

thanks for all the help

Re: jd440 ic hydraulic pump/hyd cylinder

mine is a 6 way control valve with 3 levers....where is this ball actually located???? is 1960 jd440 ic w/64 blade. only issue showing up is the down pressure on the newly rebuilt cylinder on the left side getting the fluid back in to the down pressure side of cyl., which by the way was working fine...

Re: jd440 ic hydraulic pump/hyd cylinder

Well folks....that was nicely successful!!! Though it sure is reluctant to get the air out and oil in the cyls. got my hydraulic jack to lift blade a bit and work the actuator and was able to get the lift back to operating...the down pressure is still a bit reluctant to get the oil back there, once ...

Re: jd440 ic hydraulic pump/hyd cylinder

Re: jd440 ic hydraulic pump/hyd cylinder

Stan, So now the question becomes....a bit more confusing....if i get the aw32 or aw48 hyd oil, is it ok to add it to the existing 10w or necessary to drain again? and if the 20w is non-detergent would that be mixable in system as well? Since installing the rebuilt cylinder i seem to be having a bit...

Re: Jd 40c good price or not?

O>K> am not very good at the pic evaluation, others here will be.....I do know that my jd440 has 36 track shoes per side...if you have less they have shortened the track to accommodate...this works ok as long as the track and sprockets have worthwhile life in them. Read all info shown in the early m...
