when i had my 1010 I needed a track adjuster once and ended up with a new aftermarket one that looked just like that... when i got it it came with a set of rebuild seals to that i think i still have... It worked great without any problems for half the money Deere wanted.. looks like a nice 1010 you ...

Having done my share on tracks on ski slopes i sure know what you mean by pucker factor for sure...lol Having 2 boards strapped on my feel on black diamonds is sure a lot more fun then skating sideways on ice skating groused...lol

None compared to RN Johnson when it comes to help for older JDs.. there is other dealers around but non care about anything but yuppy tractors and big constuction equip

Actually mine is pretty good, just need to do some tranny work and was thinking about adding a cyl to make it tilt and paint it after.Sometime i'll try to get some pics if i can figure out how to load them.

If you can turn wrenches and have some ambition and a service manual I would think you would enjoy it..Are you sure it needs rollers and idlers? I cant see it well enough to see that.With all OLD crawlers you have to decide how much you want to use it and if so so parts will get by or if your going ...

From what i see it looks like a pretty good deal especially if your handy with wrenches and can keep up with things. That 6 way blade alone makes most of us drool. The loader pads can be made for more pushing but also think about the more you want to build them up the more stress you put on a 50 yea...

welcome to the joys of crawlers.... I have a 78 450C also and if everything is adjusted correctly its a amazingly smooth shift. If it seems to slam from direction shifting , address it , if not it could be costly.. good luck :D
