Could be similar to what I went through a few months ago. Check out this thread: http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=7958&highlight= The easiest test to see if its a restricting orifice issue, try this simple test... Push in the foot "clutch", shift into reverse, and let out the f...

Follow up... I finally got some time to really run my 350B loader. First thing I did was adjust the screw in the restricting orifice out one turn. This put the shift time back to 1.0-1.5 seconds where it should be and now it shifts firmly into reverse. (I also put in a new starter, lift pump, engine...

I put the 350b back together today. New high-torque starter, new fuel lift pump (so the starter will fit), new fuel filters, bled the fuel system up to the input of the injector pump. While I had everything open, I replaced the engine wiring harness. I couldn't bend the old wires without cracking th...

My transmission does not have a PTO control lever:( (I checked the manuals to be sure.)

Are there any aux hydraulic-powered winch options for 350s?

Thanks.

Thanks Scotty. Where can I find more info about the cost and effort to add a PTO to a 350B? My machine has the reverser and the transmission has 1 thru 4 without a reverse gear. Would it make sense to add the reverse gear at the same time or is that significantly more work and money? (I'm kinda brok...

JD350B Crawler/Loader Winch w/ Aux. Hydraulics

My 350B doesn't have a PTO but it does have aux hydraulics. Are there winch options available which use the aux hookup? (Is the aux hookup capable of driving a winch?) As some have you said, a winch would come in real handy for all the tree work I have to do. (A log arch would help too.) Also, the a...

I got the fuel filter apart yesterday without problems. The only place permatex was used was between the filter elements and the lower o-ring. Ordered new filters, plugs, seals from jdparts.com to put it back together. I also tried the drain valve on the fuel tank sump and found the plumbing, valve,...

Don't make any adjustments (yet). If you have a reverser then your machine doesn't have a traditional clutch. If you haven't already done this, go to the John Deere Bookstore website and purchase/download the operators manual and service manual for your machine. You will need to get a userid before ...

Thanks Ken. The dual filters were used in diesel 350Bs up through serial #191713. I thought the plugs were metal (mine were painted over) and now I know they are plastic. So I don't need a 10pt socket :) Good idea about replacing the filters now. I don't like that the last person who replaced the fi...

Bleed Fuel System For 350B w/ Two Stage Filter

I have a 350B diesel crawler/loader with the two stage fuel filter. (The manual says these are in the early units.) The owners manual gives instructions on how to bleed the single stage fuel filter found in the later units which is easy because the single stage filter has bleed screws but does not g...

No apology necessary. I was the one who posted the quote out of context. Thank you guys for the advice. I will adjust the rate of shift screw and let you know what happens. Also, my shift plate does not show a reverse gear and the parts manual shows that the transmission which matches this shift pla...

This quote, "The only reason a 350 is for sale is because something is wrong with it." was taken out of context. It was meant as a complement. They are hard to find because folks who have them just keep them.

That's not the first time someone thought I was from Missouri:) Maybe I did go a little overboard on the details, but I read so many of these 350b reverser posts where folks barely gave any details and you guys had to fish it out of them. Thanks for the quick response. While I was browsing for solut...
