Have you tried moving the gear selector? When I was adjusting the clutch valve and I had the gear selector in neutral when I shifted from forward to reverse and visa versa the motor would briefly load. Thank you all for the replies..... Thanks for the answer, yes after seeing the oil it was clear that it needed changing..... Do you know what type and specifications it needs to be? I got the JD manual, but they only talk original JD brand stuff, which I a,, can't get and if I could, b,, would be way more expensive then other brands ...

Thanks for your help, Now the only thing missing is to know where to find all the plugs and grease nipples , the filter numbers and how much oil..... It might sound stupid, but on a Komatsu PC 150 excavator I had, I found after a year or so a broken grease nipple that I had never spotted before.... ...

Thanks for your reply, I do know the serial number, It is an European market machine 450 AC 193731 L The problem is that nobody knows with which US market number JD this corresponds..... So would like to order a manual, but as long as I don't know for sure....... So that's why in the mean time would...

The serial number on the dash which says made in France is E7450-003060CD. The serial number on the back side of the hydraulic/battery box says made in Germany and the serial number is 450AA-174508L. If anybody knows what these numbers mean--I'd sure appreciate knowing about them. I've come across ...

Do you know if European serial numbers differ from the machines for the US market? Mine a 450 dozer has the serial number 450 AC 193731 L I Made in Mannheim Germany, I can't find this in your list, unless it's a 'B" they called "AC" in Europe?
