I just installed a 165 G out of a 45 combine and it does have the sleeve deck.Aside from everything externally including the oil pan being different,it was an exact fit.

Just an update on my 1010.I found a real nice head on Ebay and swapped the 165G engine. It runs excellent and I have been pushing back deep frozen snow banks in third gear.No smoke or blowby but I do see a little oil seeping from the cylinder block gasket but I'm hoping that it might stop after time ...

I did check with air pressure and the rear port is the oiler.

My rear machined stud is 5 1/8 and the other two studs are 5 3/4 and there is no evidence that they have been tampered with.

I can wait till I get my other engine apart and use those studs.

Friend just picked up a 350 loader and it needs engine work.He says the book says you need to remove the loader to remove the engine,is there any way around that or is that what needs to be done?

New filter got the hydraulics working good again.Sometimes you never know how bad something was till it is working properly again.

Thanks for the help.

Anyone know the procedure for adjusting the neutral safety switch? Have to have it darn near in reverse to start the machine.

Thanks for the walk through on the phone. I am just now getting around to the filter.I pulled the old one and filled it with solvent and it took several minutes for the solvent t leak through so I gave it a thorough cleaning but don't have it back together yet. My local dealer has a filter for $157....

My friend bought a low hour Kubota loader backhoe for $18,000 and less than two years later a tiltbed showed up with papers and loaded it up.

The previous owner still owed on it and it was repossessed and there is little that that my friend can do about it.

I was about 45 minutes leveling the sand stone and it was above full when I started and did not read on the stick when I was done.It smokes bad and has severe blow by but leaks very little as the belly pan is clean. My friend who had this dozer said it was lazy and used oil but I never anticipated t...

1010 oil consumption

My 1010 gas uses 4 quarts of oil per hour with no engine leaks and does not foul plugs. You can't do much with it as runs out of power in low gear trying to do most tasks. I have about 50 ton of sand stone to level tomorrow so that should keep me busy for a while.2 gal per hour fuel and 1 gal per ho...
