DOES THE STEERING THROWOUT BEARING HAVE TO BE PRESSED ONTO THE CARRIER. THE CARRIER THAT I HAVE SEEMS TO HAVE THE 1/8 INCH RIDGE WORN DOWN, IS THAT POSSIBLE. IF IT IS NOT PRESSED ON WILL THAT CAUSE A PROBLEM SINCE THE CLUTCH FINGERS ARE IN CONTACT WITH IT AT ALL TIMES. THANKS FOR ANY THOUGHTS AND HELP

Can the gaskets for a 440 icd transmission be bought or is easier to make them myself. If so what material is suggested to make them from.
