Thanks Jim I will show this to the mechanic that is working on it. No I still have not go it to even try to fire. I’ve never had this much trouble with a machine. Thanks for all the info so far. Larry

I can’t find the 26 on the flywheel at the timing cover, but their is a small arrow that is on it.

Jim thanks that is what I thought might be the problem. I have a Wico distributor on it. How do I set the timing.

It doesn’t fire even when gas is out directly into the spark plugs.

1010 will not fire
My gasoline 1010 will not fire. I changed everything electrical, distributor, points condenser , wires and plugs. It has good spark and seems to have good compression. I even squirt some gas in the cylinders and it still won’t fire. Does any one have any suggestions for me. Thanks for you help.

It is gas. The other cylinders were low to. Is there anything I can do without pulling the oil pan off? I think you are right that a intake valve is stuck open.

My 1010 loader sat for about a year. It run well when parked in my building. It would not start after that. After a couple checks it had no compression in one cylinder. I remove the valve cover and their is no oil flow from the one lifter. It is also puking thru the air intake. What would make that ...

It's not water because I'm not losing any out of the radiator . I drained almost 5 gallons out the motor oil pan! What could it be.

I am getting what looks like transmission oil in my motor oil. It's not water. Is it from the reverser? Do I have to pull the engine? Thanks Larry

Does anyone have the number for the two gaskets which are on both sides of the diagram plate? Or is their a kit for rebuilding this? Thanks for any information. Larry
