Yes. I was thinking either at the valve or even maybe just capping the lines from the valve. Just un screwing them from the 3pt cylinder and plugging them with a plug fitting. That way the lines are still ran and ready to go with what ever attachment I choose to run off it. Think that'll work?

That's kinda what I was thinkin. If I put it on the loader, then there's some sturdy mount points already and since I just mainly use it on the landing and on already dozed roads, I don't really have to worry about too much rollover. Mostly falling debris and logs trying to roll back off the forks d...

450 canopy for 440??

Found a cheap canopy from a 450 crawler. Could it be modified to work on a 440ic or icd with loader? How much work would it take to fit well?

440 repurposed hydro lines?

I'm about to take the original 3pt off of my 440ic and was wondering if I could just cap the hydraulic supply and return lines to be used for a different auxiliary attachment later(ex. Hydro winch or backhoe etc)? Would the stock pump be adequate or would I be better off running an add on pto pump? ...

1010 winch interchangeability?

Can a factory winch from a 1010 work on a 440? I figure if it doesn't bolt right up, at least you could build a custom mount and it work, right? Also wondering same thing about a gearamatic #9. Can it work on a 440?

Sorry guys I meant 6 or 8 ga instead of 16,18. Brain fart. My problem on my starter was in the push button assembly. It wasn't making good contact on the copper post. Post on starter is worn dwn heavily. Starter shop recommended soldering some coil wire on it to build it up. I just took button off a...

Didn't think of that.

Having battery/ starter problems with my 440 and I think this thread showed me why. I think the previous owner made the 12v conversion and left the 6v starter. Battery is big, cables are thick and now the starter just hums and whines and won't turn over. When I was troubleshooting it today I didn't ...

Good points

Thanks for the info folks. Good to know at least if you had no other options, it would work. Seems like 2.4l JD motors are fairly cheap and easy to find in my area. 1010's in general are, wheeled or tracked.

General question.... When swapping over to gas from diesel, like has been done here, is the gas engine direct bolt up to the old transmission etc? Or does the trans that went with the gas motor have to be swapped too? If not, then would the 2.4l diesel from say a 1010 be a good candidate for his re-...

Thanks for the info, that's good news.
As far as the pto shafts go for these crawlers, are any of those the same or interchangeable?

Factory mounted 1010 winch????

What was the brand and model that came equipped on the 1010's from the factory? Was it 10 series? Also is this interchangeable for the 40c or 420 or 440?

Good advice

I agree. Most likely the liquid alone will get hot and fail after a lil while. I'd try What Gils saying. Just make sure to use a heavy rubber if you have to cut your own, so it will last longer. Maybe from an old mud flap or something like that. Then use some heavy duty rtb or the like, to coat the ...
